Our investment in people, facilities and equipment means that we are ideally placed to successfully manage any size and type of mailing project but we specialise in short and medium runs from 100 to 100,000.
Often it can seem good business for an organisation to manage its own direct mail campaigns. Many companies use their own staff to stuff and label envelopes believing that this is saving them money. However, the saving we can achieve for you in postage costs can often cover the fulfilment charge, and we can do it much quicker!
Mail Houses & Brochure Fulfilment
In our experience it is rare that a mailing campaign of more than 1000 items can be managed better or less expensively in house.
We mainly serve clients across the North West of England in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and Cumbria, but we also have clients nationwide.
We work for companies and organisations in Lancaster, Morecambe, Fleetwood, Blackpool, Poulton, Lytham, Preston, Leyland, Chorley, Wigan, Skelmersdale, Southport, Ormskirk, Bolton, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Blackburn, Accrington, Burnley, Nelson and Colne.
Our clients include printers, publishers, marketing and design agencies, charities, councils, universities, colleges, the NHS, housing associations, tourist/leisure attractions, retailers, financial services, hotels and small/medium sized businesses (SMEs).
Polywrapping
We have CMC Practica and AMS polywrapping systems to handle all types and sizes of mailing project. We can collate and insert or onsert multiple items into your polywrapped packs.
We can pack into clear polywrap or can organise production of printed polythene (one tonne is the minimum for printed poly). Typical mailings suitable for polywrapping include brochure fulfilment, newsletters, magazines and booklets.
We use recyclable poly as standard as it meets our own environmental policy, but we could also see that increasingly companies were striving to reduce their carbon footprint and enhance their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes. We also offer degradable poly if required.
Machine Envelope Enclosure
We have a Surefeed 12000XL that is capable of machine enclosing up to 6,000 envelopes an hour with up to six inserts. This machine is suitable for sizes from DL through to C4 and is ideal for high volume mailing assignments. We also have a Pitney Bowes inserter, which has no set up time and is ideal for shorter run DL and C5 envelope insertions jobs, such as 1,000 - 20,000 packs. Our most recent addition, in December 2010, is a Bell and Howell DL/C5 inserter, with 6 feeders and a capacity of approx. 4000 per hour.
Hand Packing
Some mailing projects are either too small or involve the packing of more unusual items such as sweets/ mugs / T-shirts etc, so they cannot be done on machine. We offer a hand packing service at no extra cost.
We have strong internal quality control systems but have developed specific quality assurance systems for particularly difficult jobs involving matching of multiple documents.
Laser/Inkjet Personalisation
Using our in house printing facilities we can produce your address carriers, personalised letters, forms etc on our black & white laser printers with a capacity of up to 20,000 sheets per day. We can also laser print colour letters and carrier sheets.
We have direct inkjet facilities to print directly onto postcards, magazines and envelopes and can add a postage paid impression in a single pass. We can also print and affix address labels where this is required by our customers. Our total inkjetting capacity is in excess of 60,000 items per week.
Mailsorting Facilities
As a mailing house we have the facilities and software required to carry out Mailsorting for Royal Mail, TNT and UK Mail. We can generate the line listings and bag labels required for Mailsort and Presstream services and we can also offer Clean Mail services, all of which will enable you to maximise your savings on postage.
Finishing & Pack Assembly
We have been asked to undertake many projects, which would not naturally be associated with direct mail. Recent projects include mailing items such as flip flops, hand creams and sweets for a targeted 6 month marketing campaign and making up folders with DVD insertion and we regularly prepare financial valuation packs for a large stockbroker.
We have folding / guillotining and comb binding equipment on site to finish off any print work as necessary.
Corporate Finance Mailing
We are able to offer this specialised mailing service due to the vast experience of our Sales Director who worked in Corporate Finance Printing and Mailing for 12 years prior to joining Responsible Mailing Ltd. We have in depth knowledge of personalising proxies with correct layout, OCRB typeface and barcodes. We are also well versed in the different shareholder types and documents they receive.
Environmentally Friendly Materials
Responsible Mailing is one of the most forward thinking direct mail marketing companies in the UK and we are committed to reducing the impact of direct mail upon the environment.
We aim to source raw materials, which have the minimum environmental impact during manufacture, use and subsequent disposal. We will always aim to offer an environmentally friendly option for your mailing. For example, all of our polywrap is fully recyclable polythene and we can offer degradable poly if required. We also offer recycled paper for laser printing, although our standard paper is FSC approved, produced from well-managed and sustainable forests.
